That i mean by that, is you had four tires on for 15k miles and got a flat one time and replaced the tire with the same tire. If so the new tire is bigger in rounding circumference. This will take out the angle gear in miles..Just out of curiousity, what models have you seen to be more prone to the sleeve failure?Joe Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Seems to be a very common problem on the P2 R models, but he said that "the sleeve is not that common on that vehicle". Not doubting him at all, as I'm grateful for any help I receive. Just curious what makes one model more prone than the other. I don't think it's the increased torque transfer that plaques the R sleeves as much as it is the metal used. I'm under the impression that it waas intentionally designed to be the weak link. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
