Chilled man Posted January 24, 2009 Report Share Posted January 24, 2009 Ok so new cam seals on the front cams rears also but this confused me greatly . for some reason the right gasket is the wrong one so I used two of the ones on the left and it worked perfect. I check with jamie correct part numbers and such then went to the local dealer and check there also. Thoughts ? makes no sense to me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The front and rear seals are different though.see thats not what I got from either dealer today. They both gave me the same seals. - But both were wrong so now I have two extra of those orange seals . not sure where they go . Both front and rear seals have an exposed metal ring around the lip. They look like VW cam seals or something? In their defense the cataloging sometimes is horrible on Volvo's parts end. I have seen pictures that without seeing you could never describe to the counter man in parts over the phone. Fax is your friend in these cases. Next time I will , i was really confused due to both of them gave me the wrong seals . mainly due to I I kind of forgot how it goes back together since its been a months ince I pulled it apart.
