Boost Laggin
Does anyone else feel like Ford bought Volvo to rape them of their safety features and reliability?I'm not sure if there's any validity to this but I was told on several occasions that Ford has been or will be using Volvo's I-5 in the focus ST and RS. Whether in USA or Europe or both Idk.If so That's some BS, but at least the focus won't suck as much anymore.

It was a good move for Ford. And yes I believe it is the same engine used in the S60R that also is going into the Focus ST but of course the engine is rebranded a duratec. Boost Laggin
And how much more expensive the R line would be....Yeah, but at least Volvo would stay European, and it wouldn't be passed around like a cheap hooker anymore.
Karlson
Yeah, but at least Volvo would stay European, and it wouldn't be passed around like a cheap hooker anymore.Renault is also from Europe, but they don't have a lot of performance cars so there is a chance they will start doing more sport cars. The only Renault that I can think of is Renault Clip V6 sport. small car with around 200hp

Midengine RWD FTW.Maybe if Renault buys Volvo they will get back into motorsport. :)
ean carr
if a chinese auto maker buys it, i wonder if volvo will keep its never ending campaign to be the safest cars on the road.I see nothing good happening from this buy out.. but who knows maybe we will finally see a C30R and I will know what car to buy when I graduate.
