Flukey
Thanks everybody. BTW, is there an 'EDIT' feature for posts? That's what I'm feelin'. Regarding Seafoam, do you advocate the water torture on the Ole Man™ of just the Foam™? On tranny's, I understand that some of the older ones don't take too kindly to the flushes with some goin' South right after.Regarding Tecron treatment, I figured that's what the Seafoam/torture was for?True, that IS what Seafoam is for. You just dont have to do it as often. In regards to flushing old trannys, that is a old tale that came from the days when unserviced old trannys had a lacquer buildup on the internal seals and clutches. I have not seen a badly lacqered up tranny for a long time. The fluids are much better now. That problem mostly occured with Ford trannys that used type f fluid. Look at it this way. If new fluid makes your tranny fail. It is shot anyway, or about to be.

elfnmagik
The Ole Fart™ is a little gassy at the back end. Never seen a CEL thrown though. Would common practice be to throw in new oxygen sensors?
Flukey
i believe you have to be a "supporting member" ie payIf you mean me I just did. And I feel good about it. This place has helped me many times. Plus, it gets me thru the bordumof winter. I frequently log on in the afternoon cause i get out of work earlyier than most people. I like to help out if I can.I am no volvo expert at all. That is why I joined this forum. I was a tranny rebuilder for 15 years before deciding to moveon, but I still love to fix cars and this is a place to chat about all of our concerns. I feel welcome here cause I know I can have possitive input in some areas. Thanks to everyone for this place. It is like teamwork in a lot of ways. I enjoy it imensly.
