Moving The Intercooler To Front This Weekend - Possibly

im planning on moving the intercooler to the front of the radiator this weekend. the r&r radiator is easy, but is there something is should know about moving the intercooler to the front? do special brakets need to me made, ect

I'm assuming you mean that you're going to move the intercooler in front of the a/c condenser right, because it should already be in front of the radiator.

I don't know about whether you'll need any special brackets, but I'd think you would need some longer intercooler hoses for the top and bottom. It might only move it forward 1-2 inches, but I'd think that's probably far enough to make it difficult to get the hoses on.

:unsure: i was originally thinking of installing a fmic and remove stock, but i read a while ago that moving the stock to front is sufficient and "just as good"

thought it might be wrong - I'm all confused now if i should do this or not :monkey:

It won't work unless you redo the hardlines for the AC.

Too much work for the minimal gains you'd get. Besides, you're only losing intercooler efficiency when your a/c is running. Otherwise the condenser is cold. And if you are running your A/C. You're losing so much performance off it that you probably won't be worried about performance while it's on.

Save up for a water/meth injection system. When I get to the point where I'm worried about intercooler efficiency, that's what I'm going to be installing.
