faterotong Posted February 6, 2009 Report Share Posted February 6, 2009 Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you knew if a sunroof assembly from a 1997 850 would be the same as one from a 1998 V70R? I went to a guy's place today to get a replacement for my 98 V70R, but the rails from the pre-97 cars were different....I'd like to know if the one from the '97 850 would fit my 98R? Thanks! I just don't wanna go back to the guy's place to pull it all out just to find out that it's not going to fit. lolThanks for the offer tho!BTW, do you have the woodgrain trim piece behind the center console? It's the part which holds the cigarette lighter and the ashtray. Mine has all the tabs behind broken so it doesn't hold the lighter in place anymore. Thanks again! 70 140 Posted February 6, 2009 Report Share Posted February 6, 2009 I would be interested in what you find out. I have a 97 850 with a sunroof, and I had to replace the glass panel in the fall. When I went to the local Volvo wreckers the parts guys told me the 70 series panels were different. To me they look the same.... post up your findings. The lower part of the tracks looked similar, just wasn't sure if it was exactly the same or not and I guess you guys are confirming this with me now. I'll let you guys know.
