I did it on the last four phones I had. Sanyo 8100, Samsung A460, Samsung A900 and now the Samsung Ace (i325, Windows Mobile). The Ace originally had WM 6.0, but with the 6.1 upgrade I can tether without using 3rd party tools... and no complaining from Sprint about "Phone as modem" plan.. for all they care I'm just using a browser on the phone.

6.1? reminds me... have you tried the new Google maps 3.x with Latitudes? Pretty cool... another feature us G1 guys just got. But I think they released it for WinMo before Android.

Mother f'er I didn't even know I had this ...

I got mine in the last 4 weeks, I already have the multitouch zoom ... it had to shut down and downlaod updates two night ago.

I didn't know the multi-touch was part of the real RC33 update? I think you may be referring to something else cuz JesusFreke said that he had to "add" it to the hacked firmware.... anyways RC33 is great... I never got my update over the air. I just went to androidcommunity and found the links to the rooted firmware and forced an SD card update.

You'd be doing the same process to get root access.

Four cornered arrow in the bottom right, zooms out/in on where you are on the page?

Nope, didn't now about it. Just downloaded 3.x though and I see it's there, need to try it.

Got to test EV-DO as well... 1.35MB file took a little under 10 seconds.
