What year is your car? I know my newer XC has a soft-switch for the fogs, and can only turn them on once the park or low-beams are on already. (n)A-GAME Posted February 11, 2009 Report Share Posted February 11, 2009 If you're in the US or Canada, you will not be able to run the fogs with all other lights on without an E-Spec Fog Relay. Not overly enforced around here, but my guess is volvo had to make it so you can only have 4 lights on at once (so turning on high beams turns fogs off). PaperToast Posted February 11, 2009 Report Share Posted February 11, 2009 how about this.on my xc with the low beams on, i put the high beams on and the low beams stay on.i did the fog relay mod, so now i can have low, high and fogs on all at the same time.its kinda kool but i dont know if the low beams are suppose to stay on with the low beams.is that a euro thing, seeing how the previous owners brought it over from europe to the us, or just a fluke? If you turn your knob for your headlights to the right once before your low beams. The goal is to get the fogs on with those lights solely.
