V70glturbo
year 2000, from previous posts i believeYeah, but all these guys are showing him the 850 Relay...when 99-00 do not have Fog Relays are in the footwell. To my knowledge, the only way to complete this with an OEM look for 99-00 is with an OEM Euro Relay panel. Your other option(non OEM) could use the stock wiring/stock switch and an Aftermarket(read radioshack) relay. However, Chuck clued me in on this and I don't remember the specific relay needed.I have been trying to research and weigh my options...as I prefer the OEM route...but I really want my Fog Lights to be on with my parking lights on my 2000 v70...so looks like the radioshack relay is the easiest, cheapest, and damn near only option.Long story short, let's get with Chuck and grab some of his knowledge. And the tab may need to be bent. If that doesnt work then I will try your radio shack route. I let you know if it works b/c we going to try it on Monday

I look forward to your results...as my 2000 v70 doesnt have any connectors on the "214" relay spot...maybe a c70/v70 difference?

c7024
Success!!!! I went to Almartin Volvo in Shelburne, VT and the relay trick didn't work. Luckily the same guy who tried the trick decided to simply wire the foglights into the parking lights. IT WORKS 100%. Shoutout to Dan at Almartin Volvo, thanks again man. firepuma
But that means the fogs are on every time the parking lights are on??? That's not success my man. Success is getting fog + parking, or just parking to work.
c7024
Nah, I still have the option of the button by the rear foglight. It works the same as it does with the low beams. The only slight difference is the bulb indicator light flashes sometimes but nothing to worry about
Dave 54
There are actually laws concerning how many and what type of forward facing lights you can have. Not overly enforced around here, but my guess is volvo had to make it so you can only have 4 lights on at once (so turning on high beams turns fogs off). Makes little sense, aside from perhaps a desire to curtail overall amperage draw.In PA it's the law. Been pulled over for having fog's on with High beams. Grocery_Getter_96
In The US your only allowed 4 lights.....so you can have low beams and fogs...so when you turn on highs they take place of fogs....but there is a write up on the forum where you can fix relay so fogs are always on.....
