I want to know has anyone done this on this car and was there any special tools or stuff I should know before I dive in head first or links to posts on instructions this will be my first rack replacement!! Chilled man Posted February 11, 2009 Report Share Posted February 11, 2009 two jackstands and all day and then some due to the AWD I would pay someone else to do it , its probaly the second hardest thing you can do minus removing the engine. I got the time its the $1300 that I don't haveThe angle gear gets in the way of everything .Also the nut that connects the rack to the stearing column is not pleasent to get to . but other then that its just standard tools I would also plan on replacing the PS lines since there about impossible to get out without wrecking them.
