Newbie
My 96 driver' leather seat already been worn out. I went to local upholstery shop, they can replaced the "seating" area w/ vinyl for $250 each seat . But the color will NOT be totally match the passenger side when completed. Best alternative is to replace both front driver and passenger seating area to make "better match".However,...the store owner also suggest a cheaper alternative to other service.LEATHER DYED REPAIR????????????What he described is........they will dyed the leather seat and able to fix minor crack. Has anyone try that before? Or should I just go ahead w/ vinly replacement?
PyROZen
i've never heard of a repair for cracked leather except for buying new seats. If your gonna spend the money to try and get em refinished, you might as well get the vinyl that you know looks good. just my 2 cents

(they do it while you are at work, by the time it dried *2 hours*, you can drive home and rub your butt really hard w/out any stain - I am 200 lb..so that should be heavy enough) I was thinking about posting who they are, but I am afraid other people may think I am doing advertising for them.I was referred to these people by upolstery shop. prasamin
you can buy this leather dye/patch up for like $10 at a local store and get the same results...it's just like permanent marker for your seats....will fade eventually, but worth it if you don't wanna spend hundreds
