c7024
Haha, thanks again for the wiring it grabs attention just as I'd hoped. Since the exhaust can be fit to my car would we have to do an order form or same arrangement as last time but higher pay of course? Also I'm torn between an exhaust and the intake from either ipd or est. In your opinion which is a better idea?

Either way, exhaust is far more effective than an intake, but also a lot more exspensive. No we can do this outside of volvo, my friend has a shop on his farm where we do our own work. Let me know when/what you wanna do.

c7024
Not sold on the OBX? Either way, exhaust is far more effective than an intake, but also a lot more exspensive. No we can do this outside of volvo, my friend has a shop on his farm where we do our own work. Let me know when/what you wanna do.Aight, exhaust it is. I will save up for it because I want it on before I go back for summer break. I know it runs $350 with $85 shipping. The only problem I see is mating it to the turbo but I'm sure there's a way around that. If all goes according to plan, this can happen. I will definitely let you know when I make the move and we can take it from there. I also need to figure out where I'm going to put the stock unit because the car will eventually be sold many years from now. whats the plans for the V70? pantyear
i looked at the OBX exhaust system and it is an ok system, but i wasent impressed by it. when i used to have a subscription to sport compact car many years ago i read a tech article that made a debate on if you can build a performance exhaust system cheaper or equal value and be just as good as a pre-built one. since then i was sold on the idea that i can build a better exhaust system and it will be exactly what i want.what i'm in the process of doing is building a full 3" exhaust for my C70 LPT using magnaflow cat and mufflers. i'm also goning to relocate the O2 sensors to the 3 o'clock position, for easier access. i was thinking about going V-band clamps for ease of removal, but i'm just gonna use stainlees band straps and make the exhaust a 2 piece unit. this exhaust will be a lil more than the OBX, but i'll have exactly what i want. this will be the second exhaust i have built for my cars and i can post pics of the build-up if anyone cares

pantyear
When you finish it definitely put it up, b/c I'm tryin to figure out the best exhaust movesure thing. i just got 2 of the 3 exhaust components yesterday, a 3" magnaflow cat and a 14" long x 4" diameter muffler which will be followed by a magnaflow street muffler with a 4" tip. here are pics of the items on ebay.magnaflow street mufflermagnaflow pre mufflermagnaflow cati'll be getting all mandrel bent aluminized 3"exhaust tubing here locally with hangers, flanges, O2 bungs, and flex pipe. i might get a reducer to go from whatever the turbo outlet is to 3" that way it will be a smooth transition from small to large. i'll post pics when i get everything.
