C70 Lpt Exhaust

What are you using for a downpipe flange? All the flanges I've had made are 3" so that shouldn't be a concern. I'd really suggest you don't use the 14806... instead go for a 14835. I had a pair on my last S70 (rip buddy).

Even Google earth agrees    though my address is 641 and not 643.

hmmm... i'm not really sure what i'm gonna use for a DP flange, but a good friend of mine who's also a volvo enthusist and master tech told me about someone using a 3 bolt flange for a the collector part of racing headers for any V8. what do you suggest i use cause i have no idea, nor have i looked at the turbo to inspect.

as for the 14806, i already have it here and i'm gonna put it at a 45* angle going toward the driver's side at the end of the straight down the middle of the car, so the exhaust will be as straight as possible and won't be hummin' like a honda fart can :P

correction, the 14806 will finish off the system at the end ofcourse. the pre-muffler is what will be angled @ the factory muffler location. i haven't figured out how to edit post yet <_<

Yeah, I remember trying a 3 bolt collector flange gasket once on a straight outlet housing and it lined up OK, but still not perfectly. I'd suggest you try to get a flange from CJ (http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?showuser=11034) or jonsayre (http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?showuser=16648)

The car you're doing it for is your C70... 2000 right? That should be angled outlet flange and IIRC, that collector flange would be too small.

Did that clear your delta link pretty good the first time around? just curious....my 2.5 was a PIA to get quiet, took like 3 tweeks after the initial install.

or to make it really easy i could get a V-band set-up for the outlet of the turbo.

can i see these flanges and get some paypal info, so if i like it i can buy it right now? i know have all 3 of my magnaflow exhaust parts and i need to get the piping, bungs, flexpipe, hangers and a solution for bolting it all to the turbo.

couldn't i just cut the flange off of the factory pipe and go with that?

Not sold on the OBX? Either way, exhaust is far more effective than an intake, but also a lot more exspensive. No we can do this outside of volvo, my friend has a shop on his farm where we do our own work. Let me know when/what you wanna do.

Wats good dude, I have decided to do the OBX exhaust system. As it gets warmer I will let you know when I want it to be done but I definitely down with working by your schedule. Basically, when the snow's gone the system goes on and of course I will break you off with something for your pocket.
