info2x
QUOTE (matt b @ Feb 22 2009, 04:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Then get a good lawyer and do a class action lawsuit.Who's suing who?compliance is the responsibility of the OEM which is verified by a sanctioning body. End user has nothing to do with it. I there has been some miscommunication here (probably on my end). I started down this road just pointing out that sometimes recalls are done due to regulations and compliance issues. This is not to say that your statement about the auto companies being for profit is wrong, because it isn't. I was merely adding to it.

Sounds like you just need to find a new dealer. And this new design hasn't been tested yet it may be just as bad as what we have now, but I do know Volvo has knowledge of it. Ghost Shadow
But it still has not been proven....proving the ETM works everyday i drive my v70xc, matter of fact just came home from a 60 mile roundtrip to new jersey and had me some fine 16oz of usda prime rib with plenty of "marbling" yum! :P

My point is the first ETM's didn't fail for a couple of years. We have no idea how reliable this new technology is. I'm all for it, but it's still very new. Enjoy your steak and keep us posted with your new technology. Oh yeah, find a new dealer, it sounds like you got a bunch of lazy hacks making me look bad.

BtownVolvo
The ETM really is just another really good idea poorly executed by Volvo, and by Volvo I mean Ford.

Model Year 1999 cars had already hit the showrooms with ETM's so technically it was all Volvo's idea ;)
