Just Got The T5r Back From The Body Shop

I bought the fender and both door from Justin (Chilled Man) when he parted out a yellow one. Looked pretty good when I put them on, but found a guy to paint the whole side of the car and the front bumper for $800. So I ended up paying about half of what I got from insurance and also put Bilstein Touring struts and shocks all the way around.

Thanks! The Volans really belong on the 97 850 R though. I am looking for a set of 17" pegs for the T5R. Hear too much bad stuff about Titans (too soft and bend easily) to go with them and the Pegs look close to the Titans as far as looks.

Looks really good! Know what you mean about the Titans, had a set on my 94 wagon when I traded it, and man all you had to do was look at them and a nick appeared.

The holes are still there for the plate. I almost put it back on today. The law says you have to have it.

Forgot to mention that the guy who painted it (just over two miles from me) had trouble matching the paint so he took off the gas door and sent it to the place for a match. He made them give him an extra quart of paint and it matches perfect. Gave me a full quart of paint which would cost about $125. Said it's enough to paint the rest of the car minus the roof. I said well go ahead and paint it then and he just laughed. Said it woudl be about $3,000 to paint the whole thing, but didn't think it really needed it at all.

Very nice, back to normal. :)

How's the Touring setup all around feel? I plan on going that route eventually.

I had no idea how badly it needed shocks and struts until I put them on. World of difference both in handling and in the ride. Doesn't feel like I hit a major pot hole every time I hit a seam in the road (bit of an exageraton) but it really needed them and I am very pleased with the Billstein Touring.

Very cool, they do seem like the best bang for the buck....I like to ask people what they think of them when I see they're running them. Thanks.
