fasts60r
Hi all. I have been working on some subtle mods for the R of late. I now have the IPD grill with R badge, the front splitter for between the winglets from carbonfiberwerks.com, and the biggest change of all...a new front mount.Driving impressions thus far...WOW. The car definitely moves with more authority. You can tell it just doesn't seem to run out of breath...ever. It's not the fastest thing on the road, but it's very very quick. I am THRILLED and sorry I didn't do this sooner. Plus I am thrilled with the look. Please disregard the CAI sticking out by the foglight there...I need to dremel that a bit more to get it to fit with the new piping. Other than that though we're all buttoned up from this weekends install. Thanks to Matt at Phuzzymotorsports.com for doing a most excellent job installing it.Enjoy!Sorry for the blurriness... Legbend
Consider getting it anodized? It'd fit in a lot better with your car.
fasts60r
Good point on the anodized, however at that point I think that ship has sailed. She's on there for good the it is. The most I could do at this point would to be get the Evolve grill for down there. If I did, it would be in black of course and it would tone it down a lot. But for now, I like this. Mesoam
the s60r makes use of an fmic way more than an 850. Looks great and an FMIC sticking behind a volvo is good for turning heads :D
fasts60r
Ok Justin...here are updates on the XC. For those that don't know, the tranny started leaking oh about the 6th week we had it. Yay.No judging...our garage is a stuff SHOW right now because the xc is being fixed by my little brother, David, who is also working this winter on building his evo. David in the burgandy sweatshirt and his friend, Trevor, under the car.

fasts60r
You guys are all very kind. It's noted, Greg! The only thing mechanically I have left to do really is a downpipe and then I think I am done with that aspect of it. I am not 100 percent sure, but I want to say the piping is 3 inches. It's BIG that I do know and kinda cool because it's powdercoated gloss black. The intercooler itself is a Yonaka. I know more than 1 person has done a Bell in the P2R but I don't think it's as good of a fit. It sticks up the whole way into the grill area and it's much, much narrower. What good does all that intercooler do you that's blocked by the bumper? I don't think much. As for the tone of the car, I do think it's changed. The blacked out grill and this intercooler really make the tone very GRRRRRRRR in the front I think. I like that. As for the car itself, it seems more gutteral if that makes anysense...deeper lunged it just really pulls hard and the whole way through to the redline, although I don't venture up that high often. The car, at least in my eye is about substance. I am really impressed with how a little wrench turning and a couple of bucks the P2R can be quite a potent machine but yet never forgets it's a luxury car too. It's docile enough to carry around clients from work without thinking about it, but it will show it's taillights to a whole lot of cars when you push it.June is 5 years I have been driving a P2R and I'm still totally in love. Thanks again for the compliments guys.
