xluke
Hello,I figure I should outfit myself with a code reader since I'll be doing my own maintenance on this '99 v70 xc. As I understand it these cars have a lot of volvo specific codes and not all obd2 scanners can read them / reset them. Do you guys recommend any particular scanner? As usual, I'm looking for something that will do the job and not cost a lot. IPD's scangauge II looks cool but is pretty pricey as I see a lot of scanners going on ebay for $40. Any input as always is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Chilled man
http://www.mgtmotorsports.com/ baller I can get a mirror mount made for you for around $40 shipped but you will need a extra Cat5e cable and a coupler to make the wire go the whole way up to the mirror. Freaking thing does everything and I cant say more great things about it. If IPD sells the same thing Let me get with them and get them a mounting kit Oh ipd sells the same thing worth every penny http://www.ipdusa.com/Volvo-S70V70-1998-20...p-128-730-2536/best thing you can buy for your car ... wish I know they sold it could of gotten it cheaper :(

I saw it around hershey getting onto 322. I laid down some horn from my green 940 but no response, it looked like some gauge or radio was being messed with.I'm hoping to put this engine in on Sunday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Very nice looking ride. In a derby I would take my 940 any day but something tells me you are a bit quicker off the line! Why do you like the Scanguage so much? Have you used it to optimze mpg as I read a lot of people do, or what else is its attraction? My other option would be to get a $50 usb obdII and run similar software off of a laptop but obviously that would only be for sporadic use and not a permanent setup.
