rp850
Got off the train tonight and went to start my car and the battery was dead. Called my wife who loaded up the kids and came over with her car so I could get a jump start. In my haste, I let her keep the car running while I made the connections (there's my mistake I know). Car turned over but now I only have the clock and no trip computer functions.OK guys, did I cook my trip computer? The car's on a charge right now because I need it for tomorrow. Is it worth it to try to disconnect the neg terminal and see if it comes back or am I looking at popping the dash and replacing the trip computer? jediboytj
I had a similar thing happen to me after I had a jump start. Removing the neg terminal on the battery fixed it. :)
rp850
Couldn't take the suspense anymore so I pulled the neg cable for 20 seconds. All is well again. Thanks guys! rp850
I actually disconnected the charger for a second so I could remove the neg batt terminal and reconnect. That fixed it. I'll keep the ECU pull trick in mind if I ever have another problem. Thanks!something simular to this happend to mewhen you know your battery is charged..... disconnect the battery and pull the ecu for a solid 10-30 minutes.....put it all back inand start your car....see if that fixes it
