PresseR
I've had GMs and VWs in the past in which the factory stereo system continued playing after the car was turned off and the key removed. The stereo would shut down once the door opened or after a minute of so if I remained in the car. My question is how can I duplicate this in my Volvo?I appreciate any input on this. Tightmopedman9
Just brainstorming here... You need to get the positive lead traced for the stereo and a DPST relay, hook the switched side to you door window light and the other side to a constant 12v medium amperage wire. I don't know how to put a timer on it, thats where things would get really tricky. Actually now that I think about it you would need more than a DPST, you could potentially hook them up in series, one to the ignition and another to the door or you could get a triple switch relay if they make such a thing.BTW, a DPST is a relay that when one lead gets a voltage source it switches on another gate. Like a light switch, but instead of 'switching' it on with your hand the presence of electricity 'swtiches' it on.

Cal3thousand
http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?showtopic=114007Whats with people asking about things that are in threads the very same week? Some dude did the same thing with a bumper trim repainting thread. Its like these ideas are floating around at the same time, but no one wants to search or read. No body has brought up these topics in the last 3 months and all of a sudden people are asking on the same day? weird.just my 2 cents
