Here's the listing

For Sale: Black 1997 Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon T5/R Package upgrades, ca. 137,800 mls, looks more like a 80,000 mls car. Paint shiny, a few smaller imperfections that don't take away from over all good looks. "Above average".

Power everything, headlight washers, well maintained, AM/FM Stereo, CD/cassette player, sun-roof/moon roof. Interior is grey all-leather in nice condition.

Runs very strong and auto transmission shifts perfectly smooth. Economy and sport mode switch. Gets about 23 mpg more aggressively driven in sport mode, about 25-30 mpg interstate in econo mode. Very recent services: new transmission fluid, new Turbo return seal, new battery, new Turbo intake hoses, Timing belt at 115k replaced, tune up incl. spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, Crank ventilation box, ABS/Tracs module reconditioned, all around Ceramic brake pads, 4 new rotors.

Always Mobil 1 synthetic oil. Replaced were also the headlights and tail lights to give the car a "fresh look" and there is absolutely no dullness in the lenses. Equipped with the brightest available Silverstar bulbs that give almost HID light.

Performance upgrades: 3"down pipe and 2 1/2 exhaust, H&R springs and SACHS sport struts/shocks that lower the car about 1 1/2 inches; Original Volvo (not a copy) 17" 6-spoke Volvo R wheels; almost new Bridgst. Potenza 215 wide tires, R front bumper, R rear spoiler, pillar mounted boost and stoich gauge. The car is a LOT of fun to drive, a "sleeper" that will boost up and go. The lowered high performance suspension allows it to outperform sporty cars around the curves. It is amazing fun.

I have not chipped the engine, but it boosts nicely 10 psi and has now probably around 250 HP. Performance chips are available for this 2.3L engine that allow with the (already installed) free flow exhaust system up to 300 HP.

This is a very nice looking Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon. I get a lot of compliments. Please consider ALL the services and upgrades that were done, this are many $$$$ that you don't have to spend to get a good looking Volvo like this.

E-mail me, or call me at 704-954-9592. The car is located in Hickory/Conover N.C., about 2.5 hours on I-85/40.

$5900 seems kinda high? Even for that car?

That is a little much, but if it is up on servicing, and he has all of the proper doc's. go for it. do your homework, I got my 1994 for $1800.00, but it has cost me upward toward three grand so far. that's to get back to stock, @ 200,000m.

Ehhh, well in Canada that's usually how much they'd be around.

Our used 850s aren't as cheap as what you Americaland peoples get :(....... I just got lucky when I found mine though .

EDIT: and by Canada I really mean Ontario. lol
