Rawr Posted April 11, 2009 Report Share Posted April 11, 2009 yeah, well I'd need the jaws of life to part a T5 M owner from their ride, so the next best thought I had was to grab an R wagon and consider a tranny swap sometime in the near future.Got your PM....talking it over with the wife, although I know she's gonna want to hold out for a 05-06 Ti-Grey/Nordkapp V70R......shoulda never taught her about Volvos.......she's gonna break the bank!!! Answers to your Q's, Farang:does it have original timing components? Yes I was worried about it being 20k+ over until I saw the manual schedules it for 105k miles. The previous owner had service done at the dealer, but if the dealer's overlooking PCV they may also be ignoring other things the owner doesn't bring up. I haven't searched the VIN for outstanding recalls yet, hadn't crossed my mind I guess, I'll do that. The 850 is scarier, which I think is more fun. But the one chance I got to drive it in the snow, the V70R was the most fun I've had in a long time. I could hold it sideways & controlled for as long as I dared. Next winter I'll miss that.Not as specific as you're looking for but I just haven't had it that long and the time I've spent in the garage has been on my bike. But answer me this: I put the V70R up because for a month there weren't many bites on the 855R. My Craigslist ad is a month old now. Over that month I've had maybe 3 legit questions from CL shoppers. Just TODAY, since the V70R ended, people have come out of the woodwork interested in the 855R. Not that it's a bad thing, (and I will still honor my VS price even though I'd rather keep it) but with ALL my Volvos gone, how can I remain part of Volvospeed?
