Volvo Virgin
My front bumper cover on my S70GLT in need of TLC.After talking to my body shop and my local dealer,I've realized that it is not much more expensive to buy a new cover that already comes painted from volvo, than to repair and paint the old one.So...time to upgrade.Dealer told me that 99 S70R and V70R bumpers are the same part number,so I figure it should fit OK,but I was wondering if there are other years or models that look better and fit.All opinions, pictures and vendors are welcome. The only S70R's were produced in Europe, but anyhoo... (note my car is not this car) Yeah.. lots of people put the R bumper on the S70... it looks kickass.. The bumper will fit perfectly. Volvo Virgin
Thanks Kevin-Do you have a picture of one,and were all the years the same.Dealer was telling me he thought they were different from year to year. Also,do you know if I can get one other than the dealer($417 USD).That was painted, but I have one other spot on my car that needs paint anyway,so it has to go to the body shop either way,so an unpainted one would possibly fit the bill. I know Jake does.. I'll see if I can get him to post one of his car. IIRC Any year from 98 - 00 will work, someone want to second that for me. The dealer is about the only place you can get one... If you can get it unpainted and then have someone paint it, it may save you money..

Guest ZTY S70`
Negative. I just ordered parts from Volvo Richardson and the V70R bumper only comes painted, no refinished or primed versions available. The price is $40X.XX and you have to pay for 3x oversized shipping.I opted against that - the price vs. value just isnt there. The only difference is the lip in which it extends out a little more and is thinner height wise.I'll definitely be posting some images when the car comes out of the body shop. I went through Swedish...com - the link above and the price stated above was misquoted through my experience today. Someone design a CF lip for $100 and you'll have the whole forums buying in. If you can replicate a $550 SPOON CF LIP and produce it for $60 each and sell for $125 each, then I think it can be done for Volvo.
