jda2000
Just did my first oil change over the weekend after installing a fumoto oil drain valve 4K miles ago. Great idea, the japanese automakers use these valves in the new cars in Japan, but not in the states.Man, this is the way to change the engine oil. No mess, no danger of stripped threads, no need for aluminum washer, no need to torque. For those inquiring minds, you'll need the adapter also. I got the one with a nipple and oil is drained directly to a container.PS: I don't work for this company , nor do I own stock in the company. Just passing along a great idea.fumoto engine oil drain valve

gatlin
Agreed. I've got them on my Volvos and my Explorer. It was money well-spent.
Mesoam
that thing is pretty spiffy...but i don't like these 2 points.....Drive carefully at all times, and if you run over any foreign object on the road, pull over and check the valve for any damage or leak. N-Series valve(with Nipple to accept hose) is not recommended for passenger cars with low ground clearance.
jda2000
that thing is pretty spiffy...but i don't like these 2 points.....←In the 850/70 series the low clearance is not a problem, since the drain hole is facing backwards and the valve and nipple also face backwards.
