ozone_1974
I have a 2000 S70 N/A and I am about to change my shocks.I read a lot about the bilsteins touring, sachs and the monroe sensatrac lately but I was wondering what you guys think about these shocks. Technical infos are good but it does not tell me how the car feels with these, so that is why I need your input guys.NOTE : I do not want to go with coilovers with this car cause I am planning on buying a second car soon (T5) and coilovers as well as sport springs are a possibility for the new car... Basically the N/A will go to my wife when I will buy a T5.Thanks for your help
AlvinL
Sachs. That will bring the ride to be good as new for your wife. Monroe is mushy and doesn't last. Lifetime guarantees are a gimick, if you know what I mean.
--Aaron--
I just installed a set of TC rear shocks along with new Hutchinson mounts and am HIGHLY impressed with them.......one notch sportier than stock is completely true. They're aggressive when they need to be and still allow a damn comfy ride. You can't argue with the price either........FCP's about the best place to get them, especially with the supporting member discount. ozone_1974
Thanks for your reply guysI am leaning toward Sachs-Boge or Bilsteins.Bilsteins are either TC's or HD's ... I've heard HD's are nice concerning handling but quite "rough" on the car ride so that is def a no go for my wife. On another hand, I've heard good things about TC's concerning handling and ride quality.I also wrote Sachs-Boge and asked them for more information on what kind of shocks they have. I am sure that after 9 years they have new technologies and improved designs over the stock ones.Basically I asked them for something more "sporty with a better car handling" than stocks without sacrificing ride quality, so we will see what their answer is :)
--Aaron--
I have heard the same thing about the HD's, I think you should stick with Sachs or TC.....

Hopefully I can just drive it and maintain it after the paint job....thing's been making a full blown dent in my wallet for the past year....it only ever broke twice, still trying to figure that one out.
