PyROTech
go talk to a lawyer before anything else, i mean asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! before you talk to them (dealer), you can still give them a chance but you need to know where you stand. I dont know the laws but you may have specific state laws regarding car sales, dealer club/assoc arbitration, and actually laws regarding what can be done to fix the problem. You may be very surprised about what you can and cant do. You may have to prove that awd was a factor that makes the car unsuitable to drive for you, dont tell em you didnt notice it, then it may fall under the fact it was only minor. Also payment method is also important, bank loans specific to car sales have some different stuff, also credit card sales also have some stuff for it on top of the basic coverage. But they are time sensative so the dealer will try to put this off as long as possible most likely if they are trying to screw you (not saying they are). Your last option may be court, which you want to avoid depending on if you can cover costs. You can also goto consumerist.com and get advice there, but i would not post anything until you know alot of the stuff first, but its a start. v4lve
I'm sure whichever state has a consumer protection agency, if the bill of sale checks out in your favor you can have the state on your side. Might help
BtownVolvo
Not sure if I mentioned this...but...I checked the bill of sale and it doesn't say anything about AWD. It simply says "S40 T5 A SR" (A meaning auto and SR meaning sun roof). All the same, it doesn't have a separate place on the paper that says "FWD" or "AWD". As of now, my sales person emailed the used car manager to get me a copy of my CPO form the tech should have filled out. We'll see what happens when that pops up. No one at the dealership knows about it yet as I'm just building evidence to present to them.
