bmx9854
There are two manuals at the JY i go to; ones an s70 98 NA and the others a 94 850 NA (obvi). Should I just pull everything from the s70 and the only thing IIRC that is different is the pedal assembly which I could grab from the 850, right? I just want to know what I need so I can get it done as quick as possible and not forget any small parts (i have read the manual swap bible). Are there any special tools that I would need, I plan on pulling the tranny out from the bottom?
mmmmmmm
Engine bar of some sort. Get the pedals from the 850, you dont need the whole box. Also, bring a big breaker bar. you'll thank me later.

240
if you have a lift its super easy to just drop the whole subframe.

ajhehr
The s70 clutch spring is different and has a different mount, etcclutch spring optional.... REALLY.use the 850 clutch and flywheel assuming that the 70 has a dual massWhat is different on the S70 pedal set up?Garyits easier as I recall...Crank pulley? What do you need to mess with the crank pulley?youll need to lock the crank down to take the flywheel bolts off if no impact tools.

If you have 2 12mm wrenches you can hold one of the other flywheel bolts. The last 1 can be broke loose with a swift hit with a hammer to the wrench. I see your point Im just giving a different option.
lookforjoe
take the s70 pedals; the return spring design is nicer.all you need are the pedals; just pull the pivot bolt & drop the pair
