harleyhv
Long Story short... Worked with my 14 yr old last summer on this set-up when the airbox gave up (cover cracked)I checked it last week and was quite disgusted with the cleanlinessof the silicone pipe between the filter and the MAF.. quite dusty.... So I bought a Fujita 3" cone filter and built my own heatshield from a rubbermaid paper basket bought at office depot and some water pipe stick-on insulation tube...I know, I know.... may be perceived as "ghettoish".... Anyway, here is the result:I may get an injen pre-filter(water repellent) to make sure that no water hits the filter.Result, car spools a lot easier than previously... and yes, there is a whoosh... ;)

JVC
what did you do with the old setup? I might be interested in purchasing it if you're selling it reasonably.
tylem28
do you have any other pics of the new set up. Doesnt look that bad. I may have to do that. Any codes? Did you have to relocate the IAT sensor or any other sensors?

Dan A
What are the dimensions on that carbon fiber filter housing (diameter and length)? If JVC doesn't want it, I may be interested.
ean carr
well as every one has yelled at me so far about, 90* bends before a MAF cause strange problems. How ever, I never noticed a problem, and I recently just made the MAF before the 90* bend and saw no change. So, Nice work! I likey
