Tom93R1 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Share Posted April 21, 2009 What a great day! I have been trying to get through emissions, had one last check engine code to take care of. The car threw a P0336 for cam angle sensor. It is a very intermittent problem only when light cruising and starting to go up a hill as the load increases then the car studders. I thought it was the tranny hunting at first but just figured out its this cam angle sensor.Any way, I swapped in a cam angle sensor I found at the yard and the car wouldnt start. I thought must be a bad sensor so put my original back in. Car still won't start! I found I get no spark. Also no check engine codes are thrown. I love my car.Any ideas? I can't imagine that I could have killed my coil while doing this, I would guess it has to be related to the sensor somehow. Maybe the code I had originally was from the wiring harness, bad wire in there... any other things to look at? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also was the car you got it off of sitting a long time as well and what were the miles on junk car. I am guessing now that the very good condition body 850 I got the first one from was in there due to an engine that wouldn't start... and wouldn't start because of a bad cam angle sensor.
