Heater Core

So I installed my short shifter earlier...

I'm checking my htr core, new one in hand, orings and clips kit and all, but for the light of me, I can't see any sign of leak or wetness but my air apprently smell funny (sweet like maple syrup) per my 2 daughters who I drive to school everyday.

Gave the core another look from a better angle,and using a 'telescopic' mirror, found the date to me xx xx 97, dd mm yy date format?, silly Europeans, lol.

Guess I'm lucky that it started to smell like that when winter was over, now I can take my sweet time to replace it.

Off to test my short shifta!

if you can smell coolant there's a leak. or your daughters are just complaing on how you smell.......

might not be the core, could be loose hose etc

Well,edited it above ^^ , the ring/clip kit is Volvo, Poland made, it better hold or I'm going to call your Polish behind, .
