C70drvr
Is this what you're driver's side upper dash tweeter looks like?Mine no longer works and I need to pick up a replacement, I just don't know if it is specific to the C70 with the dynaudio system or not. It would be sweet if I could just pull one out of a base S70 or something.
(n)A-GAME
Yes. C70 gets a 4ohm Dynaudio unit and other X70s get 8ohm regular tweeters. When I put my center channel dash on I will be replacing the tweeters with the Dynaudio units myself. That said you can run the 8 ohm unit without an issue.V/S Dismantlers in CA wanted like $45/tweeter IIRC
Young Burnsy
Why don't you just upgrade it?

Young Burnsy
With what?Use the housing you have and replace it with one of these that will fit.http://www.crutchfield.com/g_430/Tweeters.html?tp=107OrGo big and get components.
(n)A-GAME
^^ignore him. The Dynaudio components are worlds better than anything you'll get aftermarket for less than a few hundred dollars, they are plug and play, and much cheaper.
mkc70
I would be frugal and buy a used one, they pop up frequently it seems. Got one from Ovlov for 15$ last week when he was parting out his car. Of course you could do as the others suggest and install an aftermarket tweeter in its place. Just retain the crossover on the back of the factory tweeter. Either way works.
C70drvr
Another question: Does anyone know how to remove the center dash speaker? I have to replace that one as well and am having a devil of a time figuring out how to pop it off without breaking anything : /

I would just pull the dash skin off which would require torx bits and a 10mm wrench for the passenger airbag bolts so nothing gets broken. Recent thread on it's removal by someone installing a boost gauge.

I have to replace that one as well and am having a devil of a time figuring out how to pop it off without breaking anything : /The grill itself is the part that pops up. Not the surround trim.( Just making sure...Stuff like that can get misconstrued on the net...)It has 4 mildly hooked finger tabs, one at each corner.I used a bone tool to remove mine. It's pretty tight...If you remove the speaker and the grill surround, be sureit's centered when you reinstall it so that there's an even spaceall the way around for the grill to fit back into.New Center Speaker (New and IMPROVED! ) P/N: 8622157 (LHD)

BEJinFBK
Good stuff. How much for P/N 8622157?Got mine from eEuroparts.com about 3 years ago. Approx $112.00.My magnet was broken. On the new one, it's reinforced with a through bolt. This is a pretty wonky driver. Magnet is INSIDE the cone. Makes it really shallow.A must have for the very restricted depth due to center vent climate control ducting.
