Also can I use the adapter with a factory amp (850 R)? And lastly, can I add an aftermarket mono amp for a sub in conjunction with the ipod adapter and factory amp? Thanks in advance. Thanks in advance.1 Yup - both 1G and 3G. The older cable will charge the 1G but not the 3G, the new cable will charge both. Scosche (sp?) sell an adapter, but the cable is only $15 or so direct from USA•SPEC.2 Yups again. I like LastFM because I think it sounds better, and RSSplayer (I think) because it allows you to download podcasts over 3G. Watch out - switching the HU on or off will flip the iPhone back to the Music app.3 Once again yep - the unit powers off the B+ & ACC cables, plugs into the CD-Changer socket. Therefore you loose the CD changer...4 Slightly less positive because I've never done it, but you could splice in RCA sockets to the front or rear L & R lines on the factory cable and run an RCA cable to your new amp. I've seen several writeups about. BTW, the 850 R amp is 4x40 @ 10% THD IIRC - how about a decent 5 channel amp? I also got a huge improvement in SQ by going to the SC-901Extra coolness - when a call comes in, music quickly fades and the call is routed to your bluetooth headset or handsfree.
