Jack8745
boxers are for fags and chicks. Get a 911. You can get a 993 for mid to high 20's.the problem with geting it cheap is that you're going to spend another 20k fixing it if not more

TBM
Love Porsches, but never cared for Boxsters...I don't even think of Porsche when I see a Boxster.

64pvolvo1800
paul. the cheapest way out is for you wife to find three girls named porsche and go from there.next option should be 935 SLANTNOSEboth options are win win for both of you. Mike, no way a 993 brand new could cost as much as three Portia's of my wife's choosing! At least with the 993 I have an idea of the recurring maintenance costs and I can control those! Thanks for all the input guys. I'm not interested in 924/28/44 at all. I have narrowed it to the 911/912/or Boxster (I kinda like that style but now you're telling me Grant would probably drive one.... I dunno if I want one ).I bet however, that my wife may be interested in just bringing home the three Portia's for a test drive instead. I'll check with her and report back. 1via
THISOr an other turbo 911, 993 or prior, or at the very least a "turbo look" with some wide wheels.
NEU
Hey Paul the Boxters aren't bad, just stay away from the first couple years they had oil leak problems, but they were fixed if I were to get a boxster I'd get a S. I'd suggest getting a 914-6 if you could find one or get a 914-4 and either convert it to a 3.0 flat 6 or leave it as is. My 1.7 got 30mpg! I've got a 2.0 waiting to drop into my 1970. Nice car, white with tan leather, but injectors seemed to be regular problems..... until he fell asleep at the wheel that is No more problem AND no more PO CHEE either. Hit so hard the tranny fell out on the ground in pieces. God rest the poor bastards soul that he hit. I like the Boxster look and thank you for those hints. Just like the V's have their own quirks per year and model, I knew there would be some tidbits like this I needed to know. See you for dinner Friday night after a day at Carlisle man. I hope your brother was OK, the later model 914 had more crash protection then the early years, about 200lbs worth! Yeah 'm still on for Friday coming up soon! We can check out the Porsche field too, last 2 years I've haven't seen any other car then Volvos or the cars on the way to the bathroom!

They actually made the cars go to the bathroom too!?Yeah, he was OK, it just killed the old guy driving the other vehicle he broadsided. Brother was on the way home from the ER that he worked on the 11-7 shift and fell asleep. Went right back to the same ER on the other side of the table from his usual position. The 76 was a pretty car. I'm coming up Thursday night and I have a hotel Th/Fr nights. I'll take off and drive to Pigeon Forge after the show Saturday. Unless of course I'm towing a PoChee home with me!
caanglin
Boxster's are great cars. Very fun to drive and great handling. Most of the people who cut them down have more than likely never owned or driven one.
NEU
I forgot the 75-76 had the crash absorbing big rubber bumpers.
