True Swede
HeyWhen I had my car inspected a while back I had to replace my windshield wipers. Since I had to do it then and there to have it pass it wasn't the best quality blades. The first time I used them in rain they skipped and squeaked pretty badly so I took them back and was given another (same brand) set. Next rain same thing. Went back again and they gave me my money back and let me keep them anyways. I put them on my Saab where they have worked just fine. I ended up ordering Rain-X Latitude and was hoping for problem solved, but no such luck. They work well for the first few minutes but then starts to skip. The heavier the rain the more they skip.I had the WS treated with the Rain-X liquid but that won't help. What else can I do to avoid this very annoying problem? Thanks
Dan2286
I have seen a little trick done to solve this problem. I think all you have to do is kinda twist the wiper arm so the wiper is perpendicular to the windshield, not at an angle.
AlvinL
The blade needs to be able to flip over when it sweeps one way and flips back when it reverses. Like he said, a little twist of the arm so that the blade can do this is needed.
ErikS
How do you adjust the blade angle? Mine "lifts" before it covers the whole drivers side and leaves an unswept patch. Very annoying!

ACiancio
my 850 does this about every 6 months, the pivot point moves and i guess it is a common thing on the 850s, to fix it push down hard a time or two on the wiper arm about 6in above the mounting bolt. this should fix your problem
