pioneer's premier series is some of the best. i'm running this one:

got mine on the bay but it's a quality unit. the sound retriever, while sounding gimicky, actually works really well

You Justine, are fucking lame..

Pioneer makes an excellent HU.. I run one and have a 16g memory stick plugged in and thats what I use to store my mp3's

The new Kenwoods are high-tech and have top of the line IPod interface.. If thats what you want..

jvc sony and other suck nuts.. I have been in the game a long ass time. I had all the part numbers for the dash kit and harness, if you need em i can get em for you.. but buyer beware.. you MAY HAVE an external amp inside your car.. if you do than you will need a harness to adapt to that..

Only difference between pioneer premier and the regular pioneer is the warranty period. 1 year for pioneer, 2 year for premier. (Except for this year, because the Premier decks come with an ipod cable in the box already, just a regular usb-to-ipod cable).

The pioneers and kenwoods put out more wattage than Sony, JVC, Eclipse, Alpine, etc, and the sound quality is also very good.

Pioneers are also extremely easy to use an ipod with and will let you control your ipod off of the stereo directly, OR off of the ipod itself. That feature is only found on a couple of the JVCs, IIRC.

Experience: Selling car audio for a living for the past 3 1/2 years, and owning at least one deck from all the manufacturer's listed here. And no I don't work for pioneer lol.

They said the opposite to me. I bought a dd pioneer dvd player, touch screen, and they said oh yeah, it will fit no problem. Six hours later, I get a call, "there is no way we can make it work, sorry, but come get your car". When I got there, they tried to sell me a single din, with a titchy 3.5in screen. I said no, and left with the system. It took me ten minutes to fit it in, hardest part was securing it. I then returned the labour they charged me to do nothing other than scratch the lower dash. As long as you can get a harness, you can fit it.

The harness from any headuint to volvo is the same for all headunit manufactures.

Good for all cars from 93-00

Same thing happened to me years ago with my 855 their system says it will not work because of the factory amp. I said O it won't work....well I'll buy it and try it myself and never had any problems other than blowing out factory door speakers :D

i have had pioneer head units

they suck if you want to run a sub

i have a sony head unit: it's cheap, plays data cd's, has a front mp3 player plug in, has 2 sub outs

in the eq settings, you can turn the sub up and down, which you cannot do on a pioneer, or any pioneers that i have used
