harleyhv
Got a rear camber issue with my lowered suspension.Ordered a rear camber kit from IPD and it seems that it won't fit a FWD.Rear camber bushing for FWD (OEM part): 9492181Rear camber bushing for AWD (OEM part): 9200154Lucky has informed me that the IPD camber kit would work with a cast rear control arm (and not with a stamped one).Did not check my car yet but was wondering if there is a big difference between the two bushing...There are not too many rear camber kits out there.... harleyhv
ok...I guess nobody knows....that the rear camber issue with a lowered P2 FWD can be solved....
Chilled man
I have looked at both and even in vadis they seem exaclty the same from 01 FWD to 07 R and the XC all seem to be using the same suspension . Just different shocks .... I know theres something else different but it maybe the lenght of the control arms ?

Just different shocks .... I know theres something else different but it maybe the lenght of the control arms ?thanksI did not think about looking at vadis... I'll take a look.I know that bushings, lower control arms & undercarriage are differentnot sure about the length.I ordered the IPD kit and I could probably test it with my set-up.Just don't want to dissassenble it, damage the bushing in place to find out that it does not fit...I guess I'll have to buy a bushing just in case.Alignment is planned for tomorrow am... I'll know more then
harleyhv
quick update:Went to have the car aligned.... could not do it since I'm changing the inner tie rods. However discover that the front driver lower ball joint is shot....AGAIN! WTF is going on with these lower ball joint... even OEM last less than 2 years...(changed these october 2007 if I remember correcly)Am I the only one with this issue?anyway...My car has rear stamped lower control arms for sure.however It seems that the IPD camber kit could fit from the inspection.I'll go to the stealership and buy a control arm bushing to see the difference Will keep you posted
Chilled man
Dont buy the bushing by the whole lower control arm or get the S60 Stuff from Powerflex And ball joint is a single $25 peice takes a few mins change out not a biggy. the one on the wifes snapped clean right off at 40k
harleyhv
Buying the bushing would only be for comparison Before installing the ipd kit that I have, just want to be sure. Buyng AWD Ctl arm would require a AWD lower subframe (info from Lucky)and would probably be quite expansive.... even for junkyard parts.... True, the ball joint job is not a biggy just a pain.I'll change both JICWill keep you posted
harleyhv
Verified at dealership the difference between rear control arm bushings of both AWD and FWD. FWD bushing (for stamped control arm) is way smaller in diameter than the AWD one. So I'm back to square one and will investigate further with a local racing shop that race S60R... Will keep updating this post...
PsychoWagon
yea awd and fwd completely different.
harleyhv
update: We are now investigating the rear springs. It seems that the rear of my car is too low and it should not be that way even with eibach sport springs.... bad batch? will keep posting.
rbodor3
how much did the car drop when you put the springs on? When you replaced the rear shocks when you put in the springs did you replace the rear shock mount also? Somewhat unlikely but could be possible the rear shock mount isn't seated correctly (they can be kind of a PITA to do sometimes) or they could be ripped. And since you're already spending a lot of time under the car check the other bushings in the rear - there's a ton of them and wouldn't be surprising if some of them were torne. I have pretty similar suspension setup to you, with similar car just less rear weight and have negligible rear camber issues.
harleyhv
As a fyi, (When I installed the Kony FSD / Eibach springs) I replaced the spring seats, control arm stop & support plates at the rear (I did not replaced the anchorage) and I replaced the the spring seat (xc90), strut mount, bellows, helper springs and stop washer. In both cases, replaced all the required nuts & bolts. All OEM parts. So now... The car is lower in the back than in the front essentially (not balanced look) I will investigate the strut mount (rear support plate) positionning and the state of the different bushings (the bushings looked fine however not sure about the way the support plates are sitting) will keep posting
