The toughest charge I've heard the Colchester PD threaten is "making a false report." To prevent copycats, they've been voicing their concern over something like this potentially causing an accident. While I sympathize with the message, I have two problems with the general concept:1) If you need a sign on a separate route off the highway to know to stay out of the closed highway lane (marked on I-89 by signs, cones, and barrels) when you get on the highway, you need to turn in your license today.2) If you have an accident because you're freaked out by the report of a zombie attack, you need to go to the DMV and get a special stamp on your license to allow you to drive with your tin foil hat on.
