Falcone
you sure do like attention from us don't ya bud?Don't we all. If you didn't like attention, would you be posting on a public forum? I think not. I just like seeing reactions of people when others do "unconventional" things. Excuse my spelling, shrooms kicked in.When are you getting better rims. Those rims look small, i'm sure one to talk with the mis-matched wheels, but your ride would look cool with black canisto's.Mike

It looks better in person when it is washed. Those pics haven't been washed yet. Filthy dirty. In person it looks pretty cool though (except for the hood streaks).Mike

z31jaime
i like the idea.....the exicution looks a little off. i think it would looks good with a satin black paint done correctly, non rattle can. i also think it would look bad ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD if you did like the 242 on turbo bricks and do it all madd max style with brush gards and a crazy snorkel thing. then at least your car has a theme other than broke painter. http://www.505turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=
EVL WAGN
Personally I like it the thought process...just not so much the execution, but that is easily fixed. Do as another member suggested and lightly rub it with steel wool to remove the paint lines and then shoot it a few more times...repeating the steel wool again and then source some flat clear to finish it off. It will actually turn out very decent.Once the wheels are on...that'll make a difference. Semi-gloss black the wheels though. That sucker will be murdered right out properly then! ryan850-t5
i think its pretty cool that you did that. I mean people on here aren't really going to like it but who really cares. its your car, and besides its just a volvo anyway. Your not ruining too much when it comes down to it. and now its 'custom' :D
TorqueSteer
Another member went flat black recently, just pay attention to the details and it can look pretty good. Check out this thread for the car: http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?s...44&hl=black

I like the fact that when I drive thru a construction zone trying to hit all the cones, when I am finished, I just pull over, bomb away the orange streaks or scuffs, and not have to worry when i'm pulled over later. I'm just having fun doing things soo distastful to most people, its like a freak circus, you don't necessarily like the freaks, you just wonder wtf.You guys have no idea (most of you) how good it feels to be able to make yourself piss while laughing at yourself. I should put it up for sale now for $8000, hmmm... Limmited edition, Mad Mike Volvo, complete with burd turds on the hood.Mike

It's all good bro...I had the same thing before with a 91 Escort GT. I loved that car bigtime...the blue paint was faded to a flat finish, the hood was bombed flat black, the interior was gutted, and I had a rubber chin spoiler on it...it was sooooo fun driving that thing. I used to play bumper tag with my buddies in it and jump just about anything that was jumpable...lolFunny thing is though...if you threw a set of Pegs or Comets on it...you probably could get 8 G's for it...
