Martijn
So, I guess I'll just take a vote from users/readersA. Hope that BBA can rebuild, so send to them B. Buy used C. Buy new ($$$) Thoughts?Any suggestions, other options, tips are welcome!
PsychoWagon
if you buy used you'll have to get it programmed at the dealer. For the price of a new one, you'll most likely never replace it again. Used one may never break. It's up to you, but you have to make sure if you get used, the BCM has to be identical to your car (DSTC/STC, AWD / FWD, etc.)I'd go used. mastertech
2002 and up ABS units are our hottest seller along with the non-contacting ETM. If we upgrade your existing ABS unit, no software reload will be necessary. We can also supply you with an exchange unit, but you will need to have software reload done. http://xemodex.com/xemodex_011.htm

Ihatespeedbumps
How do I remove the air cleaner housing? Remove the fresh air hose where it connects to the MAF. If it is a little difficult to pull off you can use a hair dryer to heat it lightly and it will be easier to pull apart. After they are separated, pull the air box straight up, it just snaps in place.

Martijn
I replaced the BCM with a used one. Now I have a new message "anti-skid service required'. No ABS, Brake lights on. Code read is p0076. Any ideas?
Chad H
I'm pretty sure the 04's didn't have the same abs module troubles as the earlier volvo's.
