02S60T5
I have noticed that when my a/c is on, the temperature of the air coming out the driver side vents is noticeably colder than the air coming out the passenger side vents. The temperature control is set to the same temp, of course; and this problem exists even when the temperature is set to the coldest setting. Does anyone know what I could check to begin diagnosing this? Is the climate control able to diagnosed by the dealer's diagnostic computer? This is going to be a problem because it will prevent the car from getting cold enough in the summer, so I need to do something! Ihatespeedbumps
This will likely require VADIS/VIDA for repair. I would be interested to see what climate control module DTC's were stored. The first thing I would try would be a software upgrade to the CCM. This should run between $150-200 and will change the parameters for the number of "steps" a damper motor is allowed to make. I would suspect a damper motor has gone too far in one position and the climate unit doesn't know how to react properly causing a change in temperature between vents.
