HPTDoh
One end is plugged into somewhere above the distributor and I found the other end is just kind of free-styling under the fuel rail; but I couldn't find anywhere obvious it would slip into. Also, could this be the cause of a huge boost leak? As of yesterday it only pushes a few psi
--Aaron--
I believe it's the line that comes from your FPR under the fuel rail and ends up attached to the vacuum tree. It could very well cause some serious issues being unplugged under boost, I would think that it would cause a lack of fuel.
HPTDoh
FPR is underneath on the right side (left looking at the front of the car) of the fuel rail?
HPTDoh
Crisis averted.. it does go into the vacuum tree. Strange that it would disconnect seemingly randomly Boost definitely climbs higher than it did. Still builds slowly though.. I may replace the BCS with a MBC shortly
jschaefer7406
I would think that it would cause a lack of fuel With the vacuum source disconnected, a fuel pressure regulator will run full pressure, not insufficient pressure. It will cause a decrease in fuel mileage and overall performance though. Higher boost level you now see is likely because you repaired a leak, not because of a FPR problem. Good luck, Joe
HPTDoh
This hose does not seem to want to stay in its home. I can't drive more than a few miles before it blows off and my boost disappears. Is this a symptom of something else?
