auto3251
01 c70, over 100k on the clock. been fine not a problem up until now. The transmission will sometimes engage really hard. When i shift from reverse/park into drive, from a stop, sometimes when going from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd gear, and also when it goes down a gear. It would slip for a second then engage into gear really hard. There's always a small delay like 1 or 2 second before it goes into the next gear. transmission oil level is fine, and flushed regularly. I've read that people tried doing software upgrade for transmission, throttle, and some b4 servo thing, but none of them seemed to work. any ideas? thanks in advance. Ihatespeedbumps
Are there any transmission codes stored or is the engine light on? Your least inexpensive option would be to get the TCM upgrade @ your local dealer. You said you flushed the fluid regularly, so I wouldn't start there. Also worn motor mounts can exaggerate transmission issues, so be sure to inspect them.

Ghost Shadow
does it really matter what state it's in? yes, since you will be needed a new transmission. chilled man is the grim reaper of volvo land. the symptoms are exactly the same as in this thread, but unfortunately the problem was never resolved. http://volvospeed.co...ssion-slipping/ that thread is about the 5 speed auto in a early P2 car, I do not know if your tranny is the same 5 speed auto. those trannies are known to fail ALL the time. your tranny is dead. start digging into your pocket for money on a replacement. then comes well how much, who can rebuild it, well if it cost this much, i might as well sell it busted, ect ect. so to get past that really quick. we ask the following. Year Mileage condition color exterior color interior Convertible or hardtop These few questions will gauge the value of the car depending on condition. If you do not want to provide basic info, you will get just basic responses. its just the nature of things. unsually, people provide as much info as possible and in your case its as basic as possible.
