gr8gatzby
The 850 started acting up, and i'll try to explain it the best i can. all will be working well and all of the sudden four things will happen simultaneously: ABS light comes, i lose all lighting including headlights, cruise control disabled, and turn signals wont work. i remedy this by shifting to neutral and power cycling the car, then shift back to drive. any ideas? troyhyde
Major electrical power drop out. I'd look at the ignition switch and the battery positive cable.

S70 Cruiser
Mine was a full power failure on the highway, but it sounds like yours did what mine did about six months ago, but the switch issues never seemed to play a role for me. I could never reproduce it, and mine has a definite link to my foot engaging the clutch at the same time. I have a new post looking for help now. If you turn off the heater and blower, the lights will not dim as bad and the brown out will not pull your radio to think it was taken out and you should not have to reset it each time. My issues also happened on humid days after the sun came out after a rain or wet snow day - essentially humid in the car. I am thinking it is the ABS/TRAC module in my case, but the switch is a close second.
