johnloves850's
why not switch to a totally digitized gauge that displays everything with some abs plastic around it? that one guy who built the 500+whp yellow t5r did it and i thought it looked good i priced out some of those types of gauges and you can get one for around 400 plus like 15 for the plastic for the surrounding area
Cal3thousand
get a zazzi cluster from the jy take the gauge faces and switch them over. its looks the same but you dont have to worry about the speed sensor i did this on my 95. Would the 70 series trip computer work? I doubt it, but maybe. why not switch to a totally digitized gauge that displays everything with some abs plastic around it? that one guy who built the 500+whp yellow t5r did it and i thought it looked good i priced out some of those types of gauges and you can get one for around 400 plus like 15 for the plastic for the surrounding area Too much work to make it look good. and 400 bucks is a bit out of my interior mod budget. Now, if Mahi is willing to design this circuit programming, I think many members can benefit from it. It shouldn't be to hard to replicate and not that expensive either. Really, this is the perfect solution. But alas, Its not me with the skills, so I can only help and hope.

Serge
Greg, I have a few Atmel Attiny13 and Attiny2313s that I can play with for this. I also have a 95 which uses the older signal type and a 1998 S70 gauge cluster. Let me know if we should collaborate on this to figure out this problem! Ok, well looking at the full wiring diagrams it describes the signal coming in as 'pulses', so that makes me think its not a sine wave in the '94. Unfortunately, I do not have time to work on this tonight as I have a software deliverable due at work Friday morning that needs code cleaning done. I'm on my way to campus library seeing as the usual forces of technology refuse to co-operate and my wifi at home is refusing to let my laptop talk to it more than 10 feet away. Also I require coffee.
