nolanator
Posts are same size. Other wise it would be a PITA wiring the trucks 3 batteries together. Even if they were not the same size, all you have to do is touch the posts and its gonna arch arc complete. I doubt any wires are fried. You have fuses and diodes for a reason. Only other problem I see him having is his woman leaving him for someone who knows + is red. Any pictures? you're running a 36 volt series setup??? Che'_Moderator
you're running a 36 volt series setup??? Truck has a 24v rail and a 12v rail So, final verdict is "No it won't" as Justin has not come back with "Yes, it will"? It won't. Justin is pretty knowledgeable in general. But anything he says about brakes, paint, and apparently electricity just ignore.

I have threads on VS claiming autoclaves have nothing to do with composites. Doesn't make it true.

Che'_Moderator
lol man if my PMs werent all deleted I could find the person who sent me one about two weeks ago ..... IM not saying some douche didnt arc his battery by jumping it in the trunk. The same can happen under the hood. Done correctly there is 0 harm. My s60 was always dead before it was pulled apart. It was always jumped and maintained from the trunk. Anecdotal yes, but I can tell you from an electrical standpoint also there is no reason it will short if done correctly. Chilled man
? Volvo says not to charge or jump from the trunk and I know i have read more then one person actually a few of blown CCM due to jumping the car from the trunk. One of the major reasons why volvo has the spots under the hood :D

One of the major reasons why volvo has the spots under the hood Volvo says use only Volvo brake fluid also. You do that? BMW has the same underhood hot rail and I jump it all the time from the trunk. Keep digging. PAINT Electrical BRAKES .... Dont make me add internet

Che'_Moderator
It does have its own fuse and it is a total PITA to get to. First time I think it took me ~3 hours start to finish. I was taking my time and was doing it in a driveway but still. I would start with a multi meter and see how far the power is getting. Start at the battery and work back through the fusebox, lines, amp and so on. Maybe you will get lucky and find the issue up-stream

Start at the battery and work back through the fusebox, lines, amp and so on. Maybe you will get lucky and find the issue up-stream Diagram for the '98 C70 ( I'm pretty sure that it's the same through '04 ) shows power for the main amp spread over 2 fuses. Fuse 9 and fuse 12. Check both sides of the fuse while they're in the fuse block. You should get exactly the same voltage at either end of those fuses. Since they connect right to the battery, you shouldn't need the key on. If they ARE OK, I don't see any other fuses until you get to the pair of ATC fuses in the end of the amp itself. I hope they're an easier reach than it sounds... Good Luck !
