Pops Racer
Is reading the fault code not an option? Gary Yeah see above, it read 411, TPS signal fault, nothing to do with the EGR. Wierd, I expected a 413. I am so used to the tune kicking in when I mash it, with the 96 ECU it still seems messed up. I ran it last night and got 7psi out of it. MAybe I just need to wait for the ECU to adapt.
jdlc
I think Gary meant A1 for tranny code Sean to see what the flashing arrow is all about.
Pops Racer
FLashing arrow gone! I checked all codes and cleared them all. I had tranny codes on A1 for the TPS, then I had ABS codes for rear wheels, and a disconnected right front or short. ANd ABS light is on. Weird. JHEIII874T5M
ABS controller may be on its way out... only getting 7 PSI seems weird. How long did you leave the battery disconnected for?

WOOOHOOOO! I/ and you guys feexed it!! CHecked and cleared all my codes, cleared service engine light, and took car for a spirited drive== 9 psi and she runs great, ABS went away! No new codes either. Battery was disconnected over night, Joseph. Good thing I kept that 1996 ECU, I almost sold it. I guess the answer is to sell my 1995 ECU w/ST 17 tune, and send the 96 out to get tuned. Maybe they can tweek the 95 tune? If Oliver ever gets back to me. Thanks again for everyones input, and midnight auto to boot! I love the night life, I like to boogie, I like too disco aroouund...

Pops Racer
Sounds solid man. Boogie, disco, and show the woman some lovin alll night long!! We went to the Elks Lodge last night for dinner and a couple of comedians, she's done for the month! I hope Oliver answers the phone better than he responds to E-mails. I'll call them Monday. And to be fair, Oliver has corresponded to me twice over this weekend, just now on a Sunday, matter of fact. Good service. And looks like full tune on the 96 ECU. Nuts. Pops Racer
Wow he got back to me! No idea what price will be to do EGR delete on 95 ECU, we'll see. I just got back from 200 mile drive this weekend. Car was perfect, Mileage up 4mpg, jumps off the line, pulls at hi end nice. Sounds even better than before. I installed WB AFR yesterday PM. So far numbers look OK. See this thread for numbers AFR's But I curbed one of my $98 wheels, bad, boohoo.
SomeGuy
well its good to see you're getting this all worked out. If you do end using the 95, the egr delete is not necessary. I deleteled the egr on a 95 by cutting off the temp sensor for the egr valve and then putting a 1k resistor(if i am remembering right) in its place. A few dollars and only a few minutes of time. It's been months and no problems at all, and no cel at all.

ST says I need a whole new file, no tweeking my existing tune. Suckysuck.

ST says I need a whole new file, no tweeking my existing tune. Suckysuck. yeah not the one on the fan cowling. Did not mess with that part, just capped off the vacuum line that went to the egr valve. But the resistor just replaces the temp sensor that screws into the side of the egr valve. It just makes that car think that it never has to open the valve so it never figures out that the system is missing.
