Just bought this locally, not going to be able to pick it up until late next week, but I'm very excited to finally have something different then my n/a.

Here are some of the pics that the lady I bought it from sent me because that's all I have for now

Also I was wondering if anyone had any advice I best mods I can start with. I'm still in high school so I don't have that much money to work with at the moment but I looking on IPD and I saw the IPD MSD Ignition Coil Upgrade, and the Heavy Duty Turbo Control Valve seemed relatively cheap and had good reviews on them. But i just thought I would share thanks...

Nice, I just bought my T5M a few weeks ago (still haven't made a thread in the showroom yet). So far the only things I have ordered are Stylin intercooler hoses, XC grille, and an IPD intake. Stage "0" is coming really soon and once I get more comfortable with manual I'll start focusing on performance. What grade are you in?

hey congrats!

black on black t5m is hot!!

i made the change from na to t5 a few months back...and wow am i loving it.

just a word of advice....drive it for a month or two like it is now before you start putting performance mods in, just to be conformable with it. and know what "normal" is.

and good luck.

Yeah, this is my first manual car and I'm getting better at driving it, but still stalling it once in a while (especially on hills). :D Congrats on graduating, I'm about to finish my Junior year.

Same here

Jake that's really good advice and good to point it out....it's a bummer when something goes wrong and you have to backtrack through a bunch of modifications to get to the source

nice! yay T5M :D you will find that the best performance upgrade is the one you already made to this car from your old one like i did a year ago  have fun!

i would also read threads on problems people have had with these particular cars so you will recognize problems if you get any and under what circumstances you can safely push it. if i were you, i would install a boost gauge asap to help you monitor your intake system for starters (after checking everything out of course).

as for the ignition and the tcv, the ignition coil can wait if the old one is performing normally, the tcv should definitely be checked out at that mileage. i have both and appreciated my tcv much more as the old one was shot. it's not so much performance as it is part of stage 0 checks and repairs (as ipd would also tell you).
