kelley_aj
5 qts. The manual recommends 10w-30, but check for your average temp to determine, I always use synthetic Mobil 1 or Castrol.
WindowsBreakerG4
5 qts. The manual recommends 10w-30, but check for your average temp to determine, I always use synthetic Mobil 1 or Castrol. On a 940 I think it is 4 unless you drain the oil cooler. In your climate I would run 15/40 otherwise you'll thin the oil too much when you really get on the car in my experience. I like delo 400 http://www.chevrondelo.com/en/deloworldwide/uscanadamexico/default.asp but i don't run synthetic. This oil is good for cleaning all of the crap out of your engine. Three Fat Tigers
4 Quarts of oil. You can use any type of oil in it. There is a possibility that the synthetic will tend to leak more than normal oil, that is if your seals are old/worn, but over all I doubt you would have any issues. If you are running a turbo: On the low side of the viscosity, I would not run below 10w; on the high end, I would stay away from 50 such as 15w50. So 10/15w30 or 10/15w40; I tend to use Mobil 1 10w40 year round, 22$ in the 5 qt jug from walmart. Then Mann (same as Volvo brand) or Mobile 1 oil filters.
