MWvolvo850
I have a rattle in my glovebox. It appears that the hinges are getting loose which is causing the door to sag. If anyone has or had this problem before, what was done to fix it besides buying a new glove box?
Mesoam
that happened to mine. It turned out the 4 screws where loost that hold the hinges on. I think one actually fell out behind the center console. Hasn't rattled since.
Serge
I was pondering this just a few minutes ago!I HATE rattles, I have rattles all over my car primarily because I take everything appart many times over. I need to take one day and just unbolt the dash cover and bolt everything back on evently and tightly so that it doesn't creak or rattle. I'll try the hinges part on the glove box as you mentioned Mesoam.
MWvolvo850
I'll give it a try this evening.Mesoam how did you get access to those 4 bolts?
Mesoam
i actually forget, lol...pretty sure you have to just take the glove box out. Get the right size torx (25 i think) and a bat-gun and you will be done in no timeI think some of these dash screws and what not could bennifit from a little teflon tape on the threads

Hey- did you ever get that x-radio you were looking at last summer? I'm toying with the idea of buying hardware and service myself.
Mesoam
the XM? A freind of mine got XM in his durango and the signal really isn't THAT good. I don't know if maybe its where we live (very hilly + alot of tree cover) but i didn't like that. Could have been his system but i didn't want to blow the $ and find out the hard way. Plus i am working on a little project for my ash tray space any way (since i don't need a turbo timer being N/A and all)
Serge
By the way, I found the remote control receiver module. It's to the right of the inside of the glove box. It's a little black module, I might pull it out so that I can extend the antenna.
Mesoam
is there an antenna sticking out of the module? Maybe it can be relocated to a different place.
