Guest reeves Posted July 13, 2009 Report Share Posted July 13, 2009 1999 Volvo V70R AWD well maintained with 189,000+ miles. I was driving home tonight and out of no where I lost throtle response, the engine was running but with no response and no engine codes or warning lamps. I got it to the side of the road, and I tried a different gear thinking the trany had a problem. It seemed to go in reverse but it did not like forward. so I popped the hood and started checking and smelling fluids. I then started the car back up, and the ETS light was on. I then pulled my obd2 scanner out of the glove box to see if there was any codes I could pull with an ets light, I got nothing, probably because I did not have an engine light I assume. I then started it up and the car started running rough with no response. I turned it off, waited a few minutes, restarted it, the light was still on but it drove ok for about 10 min. then it acted up again same symptoms, I waited a few minutes again, restarted and I made it home about 3 miles to the drive way, where it sits with an ETS light and intermintent no throtle response and or rough idle. any ideas?
