I was told that midwest madness was a great turn out, so whoever wants to join in on this is more than welcome to. who: any volvo owner and any friends and family who would like to come what: weekend of volvo fun including grill out, food, good ole meet and greet, and multiple drives at your own will with others who come along for the extravaganza. where: TBD (tentatively in WI) when: August, 8th 2009. Sometimes it's just a lot of talk though. Maybe hook up with the turbobrickers and just make sure the fall meet happens or take the lead on it. We're gonna determine which park it is at and the time of day (probably around noon), but yes, still going on, Aug. 15th, Rockford, IL. There's about 10-12 cars on the RSVP list with about 15-17 people, not counting people that haven't RSVP'd, which I'm guessing there are several. Pierpont Ave. Rockford, IL 1:00 PM We will be there early so we can find a spot in the park where we can fit numerous cars and be able to grill. There is a street that goes through the park, so just come to the park and follow it until you find a bunch of Volvo's. Will probably also bring some "Helluva Good Dip," always a crowd pleaser. Is alcohol/beer allowed in the park? AND I don't watch Thomas the stupid train. I do railroad modeling (my other interest) so I need to observe the prototypes for accuracy. A few of my models have been in a magazine. And we don't need to be by the tracks, was joking....maybe.
